The Prorodinki Application Detects the Risks of Skin Cancer
The Prorodinki application, developed by the Roszdravnadzor of the Russian Federation, is designed to find the risks of developing skin cancer. The application uses an innovative approach to solving a problem of early diagnosis. It can be run at home and does not require any preparation of the patient. It is based on a neural network trained on a database of more than 100,000 images verified by dermatologists. A user is presented with information on the current state of his skin, including its condition and the risk of developing skin cancer. The user also has the possibility to use the application to check the health of his "moles" and get to know the risks of melanoma and basal cell carcinoma. The application does not make a diagnosis, but provides recommendations for further medical examination and the choice of a proper medical specialization. The project is supported by the FSBEI HE PRMU MOH Russia and the Skolkovo Foundation.
